GeoEtrim, geospatialy yours!

GeoEtrim (Geospatial Evaluation and Traning of Images) is derived in Matlab and C# environments for the purpose of geospatial analysis of images.

Motivation

GeoEtrim follows some motivations:

  • Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (founder of Republic of Turkey) says "Future in skies!" and established many aeronautical faclities. We believe our century confirm his theory.
  • Prof. Ian Dowman (UCL, 2004-2008 ISPRS President) says in GIM International July 2010 issue "... There’s a danger that people, institutions and organizations are using data without understanding how they were acquired, or explaining wrongly… …And I tend to think that, at least from a UK perspective, more young people are going to university, but not choosing the difficult studies involving mathematics and science." For this reason, whatever we do, we must be with higher awareness.
  • Prof. Gottfried Konecny (Hannover Uni., 1984-1988 ISPRS President) says "If you want to read something new, read the old books." If you understand a subject deeply, you can imagine new ideas.

GeoEtrim has been started to be developed by such these motivations.
